Since the mid 80's, my visual arts career has evolved through experiences of exhibition, teaching, operating a retail gallery, and creating
innovative original works in acrylic painting, art glass, clay and digital media.
Meshing style, technique and content of diverse media has resulted in increasingly focussed thematic structure and content.
In my most recent body of work of over 50 new pieces, Crucible, created
with the generous support of the Manitoba Arts Council, I explore connections and new direction in
my art.
I'm honoured to have been invited to present an online exhibition with PLATFORM centre for
photographic and digital arts in the fall of 2009.
In Arcana, a flash presentation, I detail the legacy of an inheritance of several sets of Tarot cards painted and illustrated by my maternal
grandmother, in Europe, in the early 1900's. Preliminary studies for this project can be seen here.
Special thanks to everyone at Tougaloo College for your gracious hospitality -- being invited as guest artist, and Digital Arts instructor, proved to be
one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life.
The 12th Annual Tougaloo Art Colony, held at historic Tougaloo College in Jackson, Mississippi, July 12-18, 2008, was an amazing week
long indulgence in the visual arts for artists, art educators and students.
